INSTALLATION
La Fresnedilla & Casa Escondida | Hidden Flora

Hidden Flora invites us on a journey through two antagonistic and incompatible ecosystems. The first represents a scenario where human intervention is based on the domination of nature for its own benefit; the second, on the other hand, introduces us to a cosmovision of sacred biodiversity, representing an ecosystem in balance and multi-species.

Consumerist and materialistic anthropocentrism generates deserts, as opposed to a biodiverse cooperation between species that tends towards natural equilibrium, where humans could be integrated.

PROJECTION
Caústica | Screening Flowers, ferns and other times

Photography is a tentacular species, capable of interweaving with diverse artistic practices in a symbiotic system. On this occasion, it explores the coexistence of the pictorial and the ephemeral floral, the performative and the ancestral.

The projection invites us to reflect on the interdependence of all living beings through images that challenge the traditional hierarchies between the human and the non-human. A visual expedition into a space of questioning about advanced strategies for survival, within an aggressive production model capable of altering its environment.

MEETING
Amasce + Espacio S. Luciana Centeno + Sociedad Cordobesa de Historia Natural | Expanded neighbourhoods: imagining the multispecies city

Challenges such as climate change, the mass extinction of species, the accelerated loss of biodiversity, the exhaustion of the intensive agro-food model and the degradation and fragmentation of ecosystems – the result of modes of production and consumption that ignore and violate the planet’s biophysical limits – urgently require us to imagine other ways of inhabiting and sharing the world. In this sense, the notion of One Health encourages a rethinking of the urban beyond the human, from agropolitan citizenships that place reception, flourishing and multi-species well-being at the heart of the community.

In order to enable these overflowing cities, an interdisciplinary and systemic dialogue that integrates urban, environmental and philosophical perspectives is necessary, a purpose to which this colloquium organised by Amasce, the Espacio Sociocultural Luciana Centeno and the Sociedad Cordobesa de Historia Natural (Cordoba Society of Natural History) aims to contribute.

WORKSHOP
Círculo Cerrado | Black Soap. Plants that Cure Plants

Círculo Cerrado is a sustainable olive cultivation project that works from its regenerative olive grove to act from a different sensitivity towards “our liquid gold” and to transmit artisanal ways of reusing used oil in the domestic sphere. On this occasion, in Black Soap. Plants that Cure Plants, we will teach you how to make black soap enriched with other botanical principles: a broad-spectrum “pesticide” that is totally ecological and compatible with the biodiversity of your garden or orchard. Bring your own jar and take your own preparation with you.
