For the first time, FLORA addresses an aspect that in Córdoba alone accounts for around half a million euros a year in flowers and constitutes one of the most visually striking aspects of brotherhood culture.

The use of wax and flowers as votive and perishable symbols is closely linked to the worship of sacred images. The lecture is structured in three sections. The first examines flowers as offerings to the gods from antiquity to the present day. The second is entirely professional, showing the different techniques, forms and materials used in the floral decoration of processional floats during Andalusian Holy Week. Finally, it offers a historical overview of the evolution of the use of flowers during Holy Week in Córdoba.
