María del Mar Ridaura | Candle-making workshop

Loyola University presents a workshop on how to make 100% natural scented candles by hand using sustainable methods. This practical introductory workshop is designed for a general audience with no previous experience.

It is divided into two parts:
– Theoretical session. Participants are introduced to the materials used (100% natural soy wax and cotton wicks), as well as the different types of fragrances and how to combine them to create a balanced, long-lasting scent.
– Practical session. Each participant makes their own scented candle from start to finish: weighing and melting the wax, choosing and measuring the fragrance, positioning the wick and pouring the wax, with guidance on temperatures and safety procedures at every stage.

At the end of the session, participants take home the candle they have made themselves.
