Gil Monteagudo + Arturo Garrido | Rings for a Lady

The “portable opera” is an interactive art installation that, through sculpture, projections, and music, can autonomously stage theatrical works.

This project was developed at Fundación Antonio Gala and combines the sculptures of Arturo Garrido with fragments of Gil Monteagudo’s chamber opera, based on Antonio Gala’s Anillos para una dama.

Initially conceived to perform Greek tragedies, on this occasion the work expands into the world of opera. It is a project that blends archaeological objects with projections, traditional materials with new technologies, and the artisanal with the digital, to highlight Córdoba’s cultural heritage, its legacy, and its future.
