He is currently pursuing a PhD on time and harmony at the University of Paris 8 under the supervision of Alain Bonardi.
Arturo Garrido
Madrid, 1993. He holds a degree in Architecture from the Polytechnic University of Madrid. He spent a year studying at Sapienza Università di Roma and, at the age of 24, exhibited for the first time at the ARCO art fair. Since then, he has developed a multidisciplinary artistic career and exhibited in various fairs, museums, and galleries such as Artesantander, CEART, and Arniches 26. He has also taken part in exhibitions and residencies in countries such as Cuba and Mexico.
His installations bring together drawing, painting and, above all, sculpture. Through these media, he develops experimental research projects that, starting from a place, a historical event, or a connection with art history, construct an entire creative fiction. His work is particularly marked by his metallic mesh sculptures, reminiscent of ethereal apparitions, where painting takes on volume in order to float in space.
