Isabel Do Diego | ENFLORECIDA
The Department for Córdoba’s Historic Centre and FLORA present ENFLORECIDA, a staged concert created for FLORA and the Auditorium of the Conservatorio Superior de Música Rafael Orozco. ENFLORECIDA is inspired, first and foremost, by the conscious act of wanting to “flower oneself,” to fill an idea and a body with flowers-botany.
Taking this year’s FLORA Festival theme, Future, and the Conservatory Auditorium itself as its starting point, Isabel do Diego proposes a scenic-musical journey between the primal and timeless essence of folklore and electronics. For this, she combines the most popular pieces from her published repertoire with a sonic experimentation performed using non-traditional musical instruments.
In ENFLORECIDA, Isabel do Diego unfolds a liquid, vaporised, shaken, and shimmering electronic soundscape that serves as the base for traditional vocal melodies—embodied and cried out with a body in full vital bloom. It is the future: everything in motion, nothing remaining the same. A new universe to inhabit.
