He has lived for almost twenty years in Los Angeles and has been exhibition coordinator at the Museo del Prado in Madrid, having developed in parallel educational, curatorial and exhibition projects for this same institution.

On numerous occasions his work has been linked to educational or museum institutions for which he has worked, such as the Los Angeles public schools or museums in Spain. For these contextual reasons his professional career also includes teaching in European and North American art schools as well as curating in different institutions such as the Museo del Prado, Museo de Teruel, LACPS, or Galería Soledad Lorenzo among others.

His creative practice also addresses issues of landscape, nature and peripheral botany.  Some of these projects are linked to the Algodondera of Córdoba and the archaeological site of Lancia, for which he has developed a proposal for cultural landscaping that, together with Gonarchitects, has been the winner for its next execution.

He is currently preparing an exhibition project on the use, change and abuse of the landscape of the Balearic Islands to be shown at the Es Baluard Museum in Palma de Mallorca in 2023, as well as individual and curatorial projects at the Palau de la Virreina and Banco de España in Madrid in 2024.

She holds a degree in Spanish Philology and a PhD in Literary Theory and Comparative Literature from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona UAB (1993-95). From 1994 to 2001 she worked as an art critic in the culture supplement of the ABC newspaper. Since 2002, she has been a regular contributor to the Art and Literature sections of the supplements Babelia and Quadern (El País), as well as to the culture section of the same newspaper.

Julius Vaernes Iversen is a florist and creator of TABLEAU, winners of the 2021 edition thanks to their installation “Time to Move on”. TABLEAU is a multidisciplinary studio based in the heart of Copenhagen that also functions as an art gallery, design studio and concept store. This studio, which in just over 4 years has become a European reference in floral art and space design, was born with the desire to deconstruct the narrow notions of classical floral design, to elevate it to the category of art. Iversen is clear: those who share his vision should be considered artists, not floral designers or florists.

Every TABLEAU floral installation tells a story, as indicated by the studio’s very name, tableau, a term of Latin origin that means stage or small scene, and its meaning is no other: to create places conducive to stories. These scenarios are characterized by their minimalism, clean lines, search for contrasts and taste for monochrome. It is enough to enter their Store Kongensgade headquarters for a moment to perceive the TABLEAU style, manifested there by gray concrete walls, cool LED lighting, a striking blue vinyl floor and the happy coexistence of plants, flowers, design objects and art.
