Alfie Lin | Valley of the Butterflies

The artist bases his inspiration on an Indian ink watercolour to create an infinite space with simple strokes, beyond the shapes themselves. Orchids simulate butterflies that dance and move about the valley. Through his unique selection of materials, Lin confronts us with the powerful contrast between the branches and the flowers, with the pure, natural energy that radiates from the branches. Paradise is not a specific place; rather, what Lin offers is a watercolour in which we can travel through Nature.
