La Musa de las Flores | Timeless Garden
A journey through three chambers symbolises the path to fulfilment, to communion with nature—the only possible future. Inspired by visions of Paradise present in Christian traditions (the Eden of Genesis), Persian ones (pairidaēza, paradise as an enclosed garden), and Islamic ones (the seven enclosures that await in the afterlife), the artist invites visitors to surrender to a landscape filled with symbolism.
The first chamber, on the left, marked by a large dry tree surrounded by yellow flowers, represents the past and the attachments that must be overcome. The second, dominated by a great sundial, places us before the mirror of the present and its vitality, underscored by the colour red. The journey culminates in a final chamber: the future, a flowering garden that represents the state of enlightenment of being and its profound connection with God. But beware—the promise of paradise is not guaranteed: only awareness of the past and present will unlock the keys to our future.
“Let us not limit ourselves to repeating the past, but instead make real the full realisation of an ideal found not only in religions but also in many human utopias.”
