Nothing is casual in Tom De Houwer’s art, a holistic vision of creation that leads him to measure every detail with the care of a craftsman and the greatness of an artist. And all, in this installation in Córdoba, with a desire: making us to stop and think about where our force is, that force which has made us move forward after more than a year of struggle. The force from whitin, represented by the aesthetic power of Nature.

When working with a material as marvellous as flowers, the saying “less is more” takes on its full meaning. Little more needs to be added to the visual magic of a flower.

About the installation:
“The location, the culture, the time we live in gives me the inspiration for this theme: the force.

I experience it as very inspirational and positively challenging to find a way on how to respect all the contextual components and creating beauty in the process of it. It’s by connecting all the dots in a holistic way of this context and respecting the material, nature, environment, budget and my 7 secret rules for creating harmonious less is more floral design that this happens. For me as a servant of beauty, beauty comes first and technique is there to support it in a humble, non visible but powerful way.
