Wagner Kreusch
A London-based Brazilian florist, Kreusch is known for his long career dedicated to teaching floristry and his intensely graphic and sculptural work, strongly inspired by contemporary ikebana. The son of a florist, he was in contact with nature from an early age and experienced untouched natural environments that are now under constant threat in his native country, which has made him especially sensitive to ecological disasters.
His journey in the world of botany began at a flower kiosk in London’s Liverpool Street Station. He studied at the prestigious Sogetsu School of Ikebana under Mr Shigeo Suga, and he has practised and taught this artistic discipline ever since. In 2017 he co-founded the London Flower School, one of the most prominent in the world, where his focus is on raising awareness of floristry as an art form and a tool of self-expression.
In both his teaching activities and creative endeavours, Kreusch tries to promote greater consciousness of the importance of floral artists, in the hope that more people will be able to experience the immense healing power of their art and respect the fragility of our natural environments.
