Rocío Luna

Rocío Luna, cantaora from Cordoba, winner of the Lámpara Minera 2023 in the Concurso Internacional del Cante de las Minas. At the age of 7, she first performed on stage, and at the age of 10 she won her first competition, the Concurso Nacional de Arte Flamenco Ciudad de Ubrique (National Flamenco Art Competition City of Ubrique). Throughout her career she has participated in important Flamenco Festivals from a very early age, from La Noche Blanca del Flamenco de Córdoba, to the Festival Flamenco de Zambra or the Festival Flamenco de Vejer de la Frontera. Since she was a child she has participated in television programmes and in 2020 she competed in the programme Tierra de Talento, reaching the grand finale, when José Mercé affirms that with Rocío Luna the “authentic flamenco” has appeared in the contest.

She completed her studies of the Grado Superior de Enseñanzas Artísticas specialising in Flamenco Singing at the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Córdoba Rafael Orozco. She is currently studying the Interuniversity Master’s Degree in Flamenco Research and Analysis at the University of Cordoba. On 12 August 2023 she won the Lámpara Minera 2023 at the International Contest of Cante de las Minas.
