Paco Calvo

Paco Calvo is Professor of Philosophy of Science and Director of the Minimal Intelligence Lab (MINT Lab) at the University of Murcia, where his work focuses mainly on exploring and experimenting with the possibility of plant intelligence. His research at the MINT Lab studies the ecological bases of plant intelligence through experimental studies at the intersection of plant neurobiology and cognitive science. Over the last decade, he has delivered numerous lectures worldwide on plant intelligence to both academic and non-academic audiences.

He is the author of the essay Planta Sapiens (Seix Barral, 2023), a creative and bold perspective on plant biology and cognitive science.
