Carmen Rey
A graduate in Dramatic Art from the Escuela Superior de Arte Dramático de Córdoba, Carmen has developed an extensive career as a stage director, actress, and teacher. Throughout her career, she has worked on the creation of historical documentaries, short films, and poetic-visual performances, always from a perspective of theatre as a tool for personal and community development. As an actress, she has collaborated with companies such as Trápala, PAR, Uno Teatro, and Chalana-Cor, performing in a wide repertoire of classical and contemporary works. Her approach combines technical rigour with deep sensitivity towards the human, the collective, and the poetic.
For the past 25 years, she has directed Loyola Teatro, where she has staged 27 classical and contemporary productions. Her work has focused on integrating students from different disciplines and levels of experience, fostering collective work, creativity, and critical reflection through dramatic art.
