Carmen Muñoz
Carmen Muñoz is a dancer and choreographer from Granada. She studied Spanish dance and flamenco at the Conservatories of Dance in Madrid and Barcelona. Her artistic career has developed in companies such as La Fura dels Baus, Estévez-Paños and Cia José Manuel Álvarez. His artistic restlessness led her to create choreographies for her own pieces such as Vallejo in the Festival Feedback Madrid 2015, Piel sin luz in La Cárcel de Segovia Centro de Creación 2015, Limbo or Catalina mía, which won the prize in Bailarina excelente and the first prize for choreography in the Certamen Coreográfico and the Certamen de Tetuán in Madrid. In 2019 she created the piece Bailes de histéricas with the singer Pepe de Pura as her final project. This piece was premiered in 2020 at the Sala Hiroshima in Barcelona, and has been performed at the Teatro Central in Seville, Sala Orive in Cordoba and Casa Elizalde in Barcelona.
In 2020, together with Cristina Aguilera, she created the show Germen, which premiered at the Auditorio Municipal de La Chumbera in Granada. Throughout the year 2020-2021 she collaborates as movement advisor in the piece Cruces of the company of José Manuel Álvarez, and in the work MuchaMuchacha of the collective with the same name. In 2022 she creates the piece Prima Par with Marta Nogal, premiered at the Festival L`Herencia in Barcelona.
