Isabel Do Diego | Rozadura

Rozadura is a new project by Isabel Do Diego, a series of stage concerts in the form of an artistic residency devised and developed for FLORA 2022. Two popular courtyards in Cordoba will host this physical-musical dialogue established between humans and flowers thanks to technology, in 4 concerts. Using arduinos, an electronic device that connects botanical elements with musical software, Isabel Do Diego will generate new music every time her body comes into contact with the vegetation. A creative brushstroke devised for FLORA and deeply connected to the theme of this edition, “Metamorphosis”.

Isabel Do Diego is one of the most interesting musical-scenic proposals on the Spanish scene, and arises from the tireless creativity of Juan Diego Calzada from Cordoba, who manages with this project to establish unprecedented bridges between folklore and the avant-garde.

Visits to courtyards have been made with the artist in order to select the most suitable ones. Isabel Do Diego is currently preparing the musical part and is in talks with our floral producer, Indira Anzola, to design the floral arrangements that she will use as a musical instrument, trying out different flowers and textures.
