Futures in Cinema
FLORA and mk2 Cinesur El Tablero open a space for encounter between cinema, nature, and collective imagination, in a unique film series that invites audiences to explore the relationship between human beings, plants, and possible futures from diverse artistic perspectives.
For four days, from Thursday 16 to Sunday 19 October, the big screen becomes a garden of images connecting past, present, and future, intertwining botany, ecological sensitivity, and creativity. Each session offers the opportunity to discover—or revisit—singular works that resonate with FLORA’s thematic axes:
Thursday 16 October – FLORA. PAST FUTURE
Les glaneurs et la glaneuse (OV with Spanish subtitles)
Friday 17 October – FLORA. PRESENT FUTURE
A New Kind of Wilderness (OV with Spanish subtitles)
Saturday 18 October – FLORA. FUTURE FUTURE
Animal Kingdom (OV with Spanish subtitles)
Sunday 19 October – FLORA. ANIMATED FUTURE
Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind (OV with Spanish subtitles)
This cycle demonstrates that floral art can expand beyond exhibition spaces and also resonate in the cinematic universe. A proposal to imagine together how botany, memory, and creativity can inspire the landscapes of tomorrow.
