Association of Alfombristas do Corpus Christi of Ponteareas + Ussuru Sound + Carlota Pereiro | Floral carpet in homage to Julio Romero de Torres

The Delegation of Culture of the City Council together with the Association of Alfombristas do Corpus Christi of Ponteareas commemorate, in the framework of FLORA, the 150 years of Julio Romero de Torres with the creation of a large floral carpet, designed by Carlota Pereiro. It will be in an enclave so linked to the life and history of the painter as the Plaza del Potro in Cordoba.

To this end, the festival has two exceptional allies: the Galician craftsmen and craftswomen who have been creating their spectacular floral carpets for the Corpus Christi celebrations in Ponteareas (Pontevedra) since 1857, and the renowned artist and designer Carlota Pereiro.

The public will not only be able to see the final result on Sunday morning, but also the whole process of creating the carpet – in its different phases: shredding, shaping, filling, etc. – from early Sunday morning, and enjoy the DJ session created especially for the occasion by Ussuru Sound.
