Herman de Vries | 250 kg of lavander flowers

To celebrate the FLORA Festival and its second year as a partner, C3A is presenting the work of art by herman de vries, 250 kg of lavender flowers. This Dutch artist (Alkmaar, The Netherlands, 1931) uses elements of nature as raw materials to create his works, shunning any intervention in the landscape. His works focus on showing “extracts” of nature while also offering a critique of human intervention in the natural landscape, in the belief that it is unnecessary to transform it or add any artificial elements.
