Caña, “a perfect marriage between tradition and Cordovan avant-garde”, in Carvento’s own words, is a commission of the FLORA Festival to the Cordovan dancer, performer and drag performer, whose proposals are among the most interesting emerging art in our country. With his usual radically contemporary approach to tradition and Andalusian folklore, on this occasion the reed, that watering instrument so common in the Cordovan courtyards, will be the source of inspiration and central element of his show. Carvento presents a particular metamorphosis of the iconic object and its habitat, the Cordovan courtyard, through the language of dance. With the collaboration of Leandro Cano in the costumes and the arcaded courtyard of the Centro de Arte Pepe Espaliú as a stage, Caña will serve as the finishing touch to the V edition of the festival.
